Field Service Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: Field-based in the Central region; must currently reside in the Odessa and Midland, Texas area. Requires significant regional travel and occasional travel elsewhere in the United States.

Salary: $33.00–$35.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and analyze utility inverters through field visits, email, and telephone support.
• Work with high-voltage DC electricity, three-phase power, and inverter software and firmware.
• Perform and maintain scheduled maintenance activities in line with product manuals and customer contracts.
• Build expertise in utility inverter products, SMA accessories, and compatible third-party accessories.
• Maintain accurate spare-parts inventories and support cost-effective field service.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction across assigned regional sites.

Requirements

• Current residence in the Odessa and Midland, Texas area.
• At least three years of experience in electrical, electronic, and/or network communications work.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience in the renewables industry.
• Ability to work nonstandard business hours and schedules to support customer service contracts.
• Ability to meet significant regional travel requirements.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States full time; visa sponsorship is not available.
