Civil Design Engineer - EIT (Squamish)

Location: Full-time in the Squamish office, British Columbia, Canada

Salary: CAD 79,325–114,700 annually, commensurate with experience

What you will do

• Prepare civil design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Perform design work in consultation with the Engineer of Record, from conceptual design through detailed design and construction.
• Develop technical reports, manuals, memorandums, proposals, and engineering fee estimates.
• Work on site servicing, underground infrastructure, drainage, stormwater management, green infrastructure, grading, roads, and pathways.
• Complete quality control procedures and ensure designs and calculations comply with legal standards.
• Carry out site inspections as needed and collaborate with engineers, technologists, project managers, clients, consultants, and contractors.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Civil Engineering and registration as an EIT with EGBC.
• At least two years of related professional experience in an engineering or similar professional environment.
• Hands-on experience and sound working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Strong written communication skills, including technical report writing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, communicate effectively, work cooperatively, and maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle preferred.
