Field Service Lead (Electrical Equipment)

Location: Colorado, Oregon, Wyoming, and the United States; frequent work at customer sites with travel of up to 75%

What you will do

• Lead start-up and commissioning activities for electrical equipment across multiple customer sites.
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and provide technical direction to approximately eight field service technicians.
• Serve as the technical lead for troubleshooting electrical equipment, resolving punch-list items, and closing projects.
• Coordinate tools, materials, documentation, staffing, schedules, and field resources for two to six active customer sites.
• Collaborate with project management, production, engineering, commercial, and administration teams to resolve product and quality issues.
• Participate in training, factory witness tests, shop testing, and field activities at IEM facilities, vendor sites, and customer locations.

Requirements

• Associate degree, vocational training, military experience, or equivalent experience with power distribution systems and commissioning.
• At least two years of field service experience focused on electrical equipment start-up and commissioning.
• Experience with switchgear, electrical distribution systems, or electrical control systems is preferred.
• Prior supervisory or lead-level experience is preferred; strong communication, organization, independent work, and problem-solving skills are required.
• Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures involving multiple power sources is required.
• Ability to bend, lift, and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds, and to work in customer job-site environments.
