IT Cloud Engineer (Azure)

Location: Longmont, Colorado; hybrid position with a minimum of three days per week in the office

Salary: $95,000–$142,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, migrate, and manage Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure, data management, protection solutions, networking, and Microsoft modern workplace services.
• Monitor highly available systems, troubleshoot performance and security issues, and manage escalated cloud infrastructure incidents.
• Develop automation and integrations across cloud platforms using Bash, PowerShell, Python, and other tools.
• Support information security, compliance, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Collaborate with IT specialists and cross-functional teams, provide escalation support, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in IT systems engineering or a related role.
• Extensive experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, Azure IaaS and PaaS, Entra ID, Conditional Access, Intune, Active Directory, Windows Server, VMware, and storage technologies.
• Strong experience in network architecture, protocols, switched and routed environments, firewalls, routers, wireless infrastructure, troubleshooting, and IT security.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and Python automation, plus practical experience with cloud infrastructure configuration and deployment.
• AZ-104, AZ-305, SC-300, and MS-100 certifications, or relevant demonstrated expertise; ITIL certification or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zscaler, zero-trust solutions, manufacturing software such as Autodesk or AutoCAD, and Poly, Crestron, or AMX room AV systems.
