Systems Engineer

Location: Remote (United States)

Base salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year, plus eligibility for a company bonus plan.

What you will do

• Implement and support networking technologies, systems, applications, servers, and endpoints for clients.
• Resolve second-level service desk escalations across Mac OS and Windows environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, EDR, and backup-related issues remotely and during onsite client visits when required.
• Contribute to larger implementations, smaller projects, technical assignments, and post-resolution follow-ups.
• Maintain ticket updates, time entries, client network documentation, operational procedures, and project status reports.
• Track service KPIs including time to resolution, CSAT, utilization, and SLA adherence.

Requirements

• 5+ years of MSP, service desk, corporate IT, or technical consulting experience supporting small and mid-size clients.
• 5+ years of project engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Apple hardware, Mac OS, Google Workspace, Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, and JAMF.
• Experience with Windows workstation and server security, patches, sharing, group policies, cloud storage, and remote connectivity.
• Experience with advanced networking, EDR remediation, backup solutions, and RMM platforms such as ConnectWise Automate.
• Ability to provide on-call and after-hours support, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Nice to have

• Four-year college degree or relevant technical experience.
• Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, JAMF, SonicWall, Fortinet, or CompTIA certifications.
• Current MCSE/MCSA or equivalent Microsoft certification.
• Current CCNA certification or extensive knowledge of the OSI model.
