Strategic Finance Manager (AI)

Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Almaty, Kazakhstan or San Francisco, USA (onsite)

What you will do

• Own GPU and compute economics, including pricing, supply, and contract structures.
• Source, structure, and negotiate compute and infrastructure agreements.
• Build and stress-test company-level P&L and FP&A models.
• Develop financial strategies in direct collaboration with the CEO and co-founders.
• Model the economics of large strategic partnerships and translate them into actionable financial stories.
• Engage in heavy international travel to manage relationships in the GPU market.

Requirements

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Almaty or San Francisco.
• Must be able to work onsite six days per week.
• Fluent English and Russian required.
• Background in top-tier consulting (McKinsey/BCG/Bain) or equivalent depth in corporate finance, investment banking, or infrastructure PE.
• At least 3 years of experience working in international markets.
• Expertise in building three-statement models, FP&A forecasts, and deal cases.

Nice to have

• Technical or quantitative undergraduate degree (engineering, physics, applied maths, CS).
• Exposure to procurement, supply-chain, or capacity planning at scale.
• Experience in cloud, GPU, data center, semiconductor, or energy sectors.
• Previous transition from consulting/banking to an operating role at a startup.
