Senior Product Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Hybrid in the San Francisco Bay Area, United States, with three days per week in the office; significant international travel to Finland and Asia is required.

Salary: $172,550–$203,000 per year for the San Francisco Bay Area.

What you will do

• Support New Product Introduction through FATP development builds, ramp-up, product launch, and mass production.
• Partner with Design, Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and contract manufacturers to translate technical risks into quality and business decisions.
• Lead build readiness reviews covering equipment readiness, process qualification, quality data analysis, and assembly tolerance stackups.
• Analyze build-failure data, establish specification and process-control limits, and drive design and manufacturing improvements.
• Define premium cosmetic standards, manage golden and limit samples, and align teams on fit, finish, and feel.
• Validate that contract-manufacturer processes produce products meeting cosmetic, reliability, and functional requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product quality, supplier manufacturing, manufacturing quality engineering, or process engineering.
• Experience with system integration and FATP environments combining mechanical enclosures and electronics into finished products.
• Experience in high-volume handheld, wearable, or consumer-product manufacturing with high cosmetic standards.
• Experience qualifying and auditing PSA/HAF attachment, epoxy dispensing, molding, curing, soldering, hotbar, and laser-welding processes.
• Knowledge of IQC, IPQC, OQC, AOI, sampling plans, qualification criteria, SOP/MSOP, CQA, OBA, dimensional control, GRR, CRR, SPC, FA/CA, FMEA, and DOE.
• Strong understanding of DFM, GD&T, Six Sigma, data analysis, technical communication, and manufacturing-system development; willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.
