Staff Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Onsite in Kent, Washington, United States; travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Salary: $103,329–$172,215 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Represent Quality Engineering on New Product Introduction projects, identify risks, and develop contingency plans with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain proactive and reactive supplier quality processes supporting quality, cost, and performance goals.
• Monitor internal quality metrics, identify trends, and lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts.
• Lead continuous improvement projects across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and operations.
• Use the CAPA system to address internal, supplier, and customer quality issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• 7+ years of quality experience in a high-technology industry, preferably involving electro-mechanical product development, manufacturing, testing, industrial assembly, or precision machining.
• Experience with Supplier Quality Management methodologies including APQP, PPAP, and SCAR.
• Experience with NPI stage-gate processes, root cause analysis, corrective action, 8D, Lean, Six Sigma/DMAIC, and Kaizen.
• Knowledge of GD&T, DOE, SPC, fault tree analysis, FMEA, auditing, control plans, safe launch, and ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.
• Experience with Oracle ERP and the ability to influence product and process changes and secure resource investment.
