Sr. Quality Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with the role based in East Aurora

Salary: $35.00–$45.00 per hour

What you will do

• Investigate chronic scrap sources using machining, GD&T, and inspection expertise.
• Identify contributing factors and support experiments addressing component, process, and machining problems.
• Develop corrective action plans with production, performance, and quality engineering stakeholders.
• Manage action-item trackers for root cause corrective action and audit follow-ups.
• Create production and first-article inspection plans and perform complex inspections against drawing requirements.
• Audit process capability, verify operator training, and support product acceptance decisions.

Requirements

• Five years of manufacturing, mechanical, or quality engineering experience.
• Technical knowledge of machining processes, GD&T, and metrology equipment.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action in manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AS9100 specifications and quality documentation practices.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
• Ability to work onsite in Buffalo, NY / East Aurora and access U.S. export-controlled information.

Nice to have

• Experience with Zeiss metrology equipment.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience using 5 Whys and Fishbone Diagrams.
