Senior Manager, Data Science - Supply Chain Strategy (AI)

Location: USA, Bentonville, Arkansas; onsite at the Bentonville Home Office

Salary: $110,000–$220,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation

What you will do

• Lead optimization and simulation models for end-to-end internalized parcel network design.
• Determine parcel flows across fulfillment centers, sort centers, hubs, stores, and last-mile assets.
• Build scalable modeling frameworks using Python, SQL, and large-scale data.
• Integrate multiple parcel flows and evaluate tradeoffs across speed, capacity, transportation cost, real estate, and capital.
• Translate analytical outputs into strategic recommendations and support long-range network strategy and investment decisions.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Transportation, Engineering, Operations, Product, Technology, and Finance teams while using AI to improve modeling and decision-making.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and advanced statistical methods.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for developing, testing, and deploying scalable data solutions.
• Experience with data visualization, model assessment, tuning, and validation.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytics projects aligned with strategic objectives.
• Leadership experience mentoring teams and guiding technical development.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of analytics experience, master’s degree with at least 3 years, or 7 years of analytics or related experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with optimization models, open-source frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or Torch, and assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
• Supervisory experience and knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
