Test Developer - Winter 2027 Co-op (QA Automation)

Location: Kitchener, Ontario; in-person work from a hirify.global office is required

Salary: CAD 960–1,440 per week

What you will do

• Help define and optimize the team’s quality strategy from the beginning of the development process.
• Design and write automated tests, contribute to automation frameworks, and participate in code reviews.
• Plan and execute exploratory testing while identifying defects, design issues, risks, and gaps in test coverage.
• Contribute to product code and reliability engineering strategies that improve software quality, performance, and security.
• Coach teammates on quality-related activities and communicate quality concerns clearly.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or diploma program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with a co-op option.
• Must remain enrolled and not graduate before the co-op term.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week in person from a hirify.global office.
• Ability to find defects and design issues throughout the software development process.
• Strong interest in software quality, performance, security, critical thinking, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate with teammates and develop effective automated tests.
