TL;DR
QA Automation Analyst (Java/Playwright) (Software Quality Assurance): Building and maintaining automated test frameworks for web modules and RESTful and SOAP-based services with an accent on integration, system, and acceptance testing. Focus on integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, designing test suites, investigating defects, and using AI/LLM-based tools to improve QA efficiency.
Location: Remote – Canada
Salary: $60,000–$75,000 CAD per year

What you will do
- Analyze client needs, project requirements, and Software Requirements Specifications with Solution Analysts and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to Software Test Plans, defining testing scope, objectives, and approaches.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated integration, system, and acceptance tests.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Create testing defect, progress, and summary reports.
- Investigate and triage software defects with project stakeholders and the Quality Assurance Team Lead.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience developing automated tests with Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, REST Assured, Java, or JUnit for Java-based UI modules and web services.
- 3+ years of experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with API testing for RESTful and SOAP-based services, SQL queries with joins, web servers such as Apache HTTP Server or NGINX, and version control systems such as Git or Perforce.
- Experience with Maven, Ant, or Gradle; Jenkins or TeamCity; and test suites covering unit, integration, system, and acceptance levels.
- Knowledge of the Software Testing Lifecycle, Java programming, TypeScript, service-oriented architecture, relational and non-relational databases, and AI/LLM-based tools for QA.
