QA Automation Analyst (Java)

Location: Remote – Canada

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Analyze client needs, project requirements, and Software Requirements Specifications with solution analysts.
• Contribute to software test plans, defining testing scope, objectives, and approaches.
• Develop and execute automated integration, system, acceptance, and API tests.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks to identify issues early and accelerate release cycles.
• Prepare testing defect, progress, and summary reports.
• Investigate and triage software defects in collaboration with project stakeholders and the QA Team Lead.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience developing automated tests with Selenium, Cucumber, Playwright, REST Assured, Java, or JUnit.
• 3+ years of experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
• Experience with SQL joins, web servers such as Apache HTTP Server or NGINX, and version control systems such as Git or Perforce.
• Experience testing RESTful and SOAP-based web services and using build and CI tools such as Maven, Gradle, Ant, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
• Knowledge of the Software Testing Lifecycle, test suite design, Java programming, TypeScript, service-oriented architecture, and relational and non-relational databases.

• Experience using AI/LLM-based tools and models for test planning, test generation, and QA efficiency.
