Licensed Optician - Part Time (Retail)

What you will do

• Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, including training customers in contact lens insertion and removal.
• Educate customers about products and deliver patient-focused service while meeting sales goals.
• Maintain accurate patient records, manage order follow-up, notify customers, and conduct weekly outreach.
• Reduce remakes, follow safety standards, and support operational quality and company policies.
• Control inventory, maintain merchandising standards, and keep the store clean and organized.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Active dispensing license required as mandated by the state.
• At least 3 years of related experience or training required.
• Strong customer service, communication, selling, organization, and multitasking abilities.
• Professional, friendly, and comfortable working with a variety of people.

• Previous retail experience.
