Licensed Optician (Optical Retail)

What you will do

• Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, including contact lens insertion and removal training.
• Educate customers about products and deliver patient-focused service while meeting sales goals.
• Maintain accurate patient records, manage order follow-up, and conduct weekly customer outreach.
• Reduce remakes, follow safety standards, and support operational quality.
• Manage inventory, merchandising standards, and store cleanliness.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Active dispensing license required by the state.
• At least 3 years of related experience or training required.
• Strong customer service and clear communication skills.
• Confident selling skills and the ability to meet store goals.
• Organization, attention to detail, multitasking ability, and comfort working with diverse customers.

Nice to have

• Previous retail experience.
