Optometric Technician - Medical Assistant (Optical Healthcare)

What you will do

• Provide high-quality patient care and maintain a professional doctor’s office and pre-test room.
• Explain preliminary examinations and perform patient testing before the doctor examination.
• Complete paperwork, referral forms, follow-up documentation, and accurate patient records.
• Review prescriptions and patient information, identify special needs, and consult with the optician, doctor, or retail management when needed.
• Promote eligible patients’ visual field testing and retinal screenings.
• Maintain examination equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals while following company procedures.

Requirements

• Previous retail or optical experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn optical knowledge, ocular terminology, diseases, and abbreviations.
• Ability to give customers clear and concise instructions.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, multitasking, and time-management skills.
