Licensed Optician (Retail)

Location: Mohegan Lake, New York, United States; onsite

Salary: USD 21.00–31.10 per hour

What you will do

• Dispense eyeglasses and contact lenses, including insertion and removal training and product education.
• Provide customer service while meeting sales goals and store objectives.
• Maintain accurate patient records, manage order follow-up, and conduct weekly customer outreach.
• Reduce remakes, follow safety standards, and support operational excellence.
• Manage inventory, merchandising standards, and a clean, organized store environment.
• Mentor Apprentice Opticians where permitted by law.

Requirements

• Active dispensing license required by the applicable state.
• At least 3 years of related experience or training.
• Strong customer service, communication, sales, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Professional, friendly, and comfortable working with a variety of customers.
