Senior Network Engineer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid, with three days per week onsite in the San Francisco FiDi or Culver City office. The salary range is listed for Los Angeles, CA.

Salary: $170,000–$225,000 USD per year.

hirify.global is building an AI platform and self-clearing brokerage technology for independent financial advisors, including account opening, trading, reporting, and billing capabilities.

What you will do

• Own multi-region AWS network architecture across production, clearing, and platform environments, including Transit Gateway, VPC design, address space, and routing.
• Design network segmentation and traffic inspection for workload, corporate, and partner traffic, delivering infrastructure as code through Terraform and GitOps.
• Lead the transition to zero-trust and SASE access with application-level controls and device-posture validation.
• Manage partner connectivity through site-to-site VPNs, BGP peering, and Direct Connect circuits with financial-services counterparties.
• Define observability standards and act as the senior escalation point for incidents, disaster recovery, and cross-region failover.
• Apply AI-native and agentic workflows to infrastructure audits, drift detection, configuration analysis, and flow-data investigation while mentoring engineers and reviewing designs.

Requirements

• 7+ years of network engineering experience, including 3+ years in cloud-native environments and ownership of a production network.
• Deep AWS networking experience with VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, PrivateLink, NAT and egress patterns, and large-scale security groups.
• Strong knowledge of routing, BGP, IPsec, TLS, DNS, DHCP, packet analysis, network segmentation, and traffic inspection.
• Experience with zero trust or SASE, including ZTNA, secure web gateways, CASB, or device-posture-conditioned access.
• Terraform and infrastructure-as-code experience, scripting with Python, Bash, or Go, cloud API proficiency, and working knowledge of Kubernetes networking.
• Ability to work onsite three days per week in the San Francisco FiDi or Culver City office. An AI-native approach and close collaboration with Security are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, brokerage, clearing, custody, banking, market data, or another regulated industry.
• Network integration during acquisitions or enterprise mergers.
• AI infrastructure-operations workflows, including Claude best practices, service mesh, API gateways, WAF, bot management, CDN security, or campus networking.
• AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIP certification.
