Sr. Engineering Manager, Android

Location: San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; or New York, NY

Salary: $184,900–$250,200, $212,700–$287,700, or $203,400–$275,200 USD annually, depending on location.

What you will do

• Set the strategic vision and roadmap for the Android Platform team.
• Build partnerships with product management and the iOS Platform team to shape mobile platform strategy.
• Deliver core tools, services, and frameworks that improve the developer experience and accelerate feature launches.
• Improve software development processes, metrics, testing, quality, performance, and operational excellence.
• Define KPIs and communicate progress and technical direction across the organization.
• Hire, mentor, and develop engineers while fostering collaboration and resolving complex challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional mobile software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager or team lead.
• Experience shipping Android applications at scale.
• Experience hiring and developing remote engineers.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineering leaders in cross-functional groups.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React Native or equivalent mobile web technology.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
