Engineering Manager (SaaS)

Location: Remote from any US location outside California, or hybrid from offices in New Orleans or Portland

Salary: $145,000–$165,000 annually, plus equity

hirify.global provides a SaaS distributor revenue and relationship platform used by distributors and skilled professionals to manage orders, troubleshooting, and customer communication.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineers, overseeing output, technical decisions, priorities, career development, and performance.
• Guide architectural decisions and support the team with technical judgment.
• Partner with engineering leadership, product management, design, and customer success to deliver the roadmap.
• Own planning, prioritization, delivery, support escalations, and production issue resolution.
• Improve testing, quality gates, build pipelines, CI/CD processes, and engineering best practices with DevOps.
• Track delivery KPIs, cycle time, work in progress, and velocity while participating in hiring and team growth.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience leading engineering teams in SaaS software companies, including direct people management.
• Experience developing talent, retaining high performers, and conducting performance and career development conversations.
• Working knowledge of at least one of Elixir, React, React Native, or AWS.
• Experience leading Agile or Kanban/Lean teams and improving velocity, quality, or delivery timelines.
• Experience scoping, planning, and shipping software in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong communication skills and experience working cross-functionally with non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with instrumentation, observability, and engineering performance tooling.
