Manager, Software Engineering (PlayStation Commerce)

Base salary: $167,800–$251,800 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers.
• Drive delivery of pricing and offers capabilities against strategic business outcomes.
• Guide architecture, design, and engineering trade-off decisions.
• Maintain high standards for engineering quality, operational excellence, and team performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Program Management, and Engineering teams across multiple time zones.
• Identify and remove technical and organizational roadblocks while planning team capacity and resourcing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of software development experience, including experience managing or leading software engineers.
• Experience mentoring, empowering, and developing engineers.
• Strong technical foundation in architecture, design, and engineering discussions.
• Experience delivering complex software across multiple teams or systems.
• Experience with Agile development practices and continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with commerce, pricing, promotions, or transactional systems.
• Experience with backend services and APIs, internal or partner-facing tooling, or consumer-facing applications.
• Experience working in a globally distributed or matrixed organization.
