Automotive Service Manager (Automotive)

Location: Conroe, Texas, USA; on-site at an automotive service facility in Montgomery County

What you will do

• Manage daily shop and office operations, including opening and closing the facility.
• Sell automotive services, prepare estimates and work orders, and drive revenue and profit targets.
• Supervise office personnel, service writers, and technicians; assign work and address performance issues.
• Maintain guest communication throughout the repair process and explain recommended solutions clearly.
• Monitor service quality, parts selection, target margins, equipment readiness, and technician resources.
• Complete reconciliations, audits, report analysis, and performance reporting for franchise owners or operators.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in automotive customer service and service sales.
• Supervisory or management experience in the automotive industry.
• ASE Service Consultant certification or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software and automotive store applications.
• Current driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the workday, occasionally lift over 50 pounds, drive manual-transmission vehicles, and work at a brisk pace in a high-volume environment.
