Lead Business Analyst, Process & Automation (AI)

Location: Remote role based in Belfast, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Map end-to-end operational flows, trace handoffs, and identify process friction and failure points.
• Diagnose root causes and quantify the impact on time, costs, and customers using data, queries, and dashboards.
• Translate ambiguous business needs into requirements, process designs, delivery plans, controls, and measurable success criteria.
• Build or coordinate automation, tooling, and data solutions, leading testing, launch readiness, adoption, and handover to operational owners.
• Identify opportunities for AI agents in operations and design, test, deploy, and evaluate bounded multi-step workflows.
• Partner with Operations, Product, Technology, and other stakeholders to develop business cases and prioritize longer-term solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, operations, implementation, or product operations.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects from problem definition through implementation and ongoing measurement.
• Strong analytical skills, including using data, queries, and dashboards to validate problems and demonstrate outcomes.
• Ability to turn ambiguous business needs into clear requirements, process designs, and delivery plans.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, written communication, and presentation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, lending, insurance, or another complex regulated environment.
• Commerce, e-commerce, point-of-sale, or marketplace experience.
• Hands-on experience with workflow, case-management, or process-automation platforms.
• SQL, business-intelligence tools, data modelling, or experience evaluating and deploying AI-enabled operational solutions.
• Experience driving adoption and effectiveness after launch.
