Member of Product Staff, Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States. Work together in person; this is an on-site role.

What you will do

• Own bounded customer outcomes from problem definition through rollout, production operation, and iteration.
• Build AI agents that pursue recruiting objectives over multiple days, request human judgment when needed, and recover safely from model or tool failures.
• Turn interview and hiring-team conversations into understandable, correctable actions for recruiters.
• Make architectural tradeoffs across interfaces, APIs, data models, permissions, and production behavior.
• Design controls and recovery paths for agents operating in customer systems.
• Convert recurring product patterns into primitives supporting multiple recruiting workflows.

Requirements

• Experience shipping software for external users and owning a meaningful outcome through production.
• Deep expertise in at least one technical area, with the ability to work across product, frontend, and backend boundaries.
• Strong independent skills in design, implementation, code review, debugging, architecture, and technical decision-making.
• Heavy use of AI coding agents while maintaining independent engineering judgment.
• Interest in direct customer contact, hands-on implementation, and post-launch responsibility.
• Ability to work in person in San Francisco and authorization supported through the company’s visa sponsorship program.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python, AWS, Postgres, or S3; exact stack experience is not required.
