Guidance & Control Module Lead (Autonomous Flight)

Location: On-site in Paris, with relocation possible to Lausanne, Paris or Zurich

What you will do

• Build and lead the Guidance & Control engineering team, including hiring, technical standards, and engineer development.
• Define and own the module roadmap, scope, milestones, priorities, trade-offs, and delivery accountability.
• Set the approach to motion planning, trajectory generation, guidance laws, flight modes, and failsafe behavior.
• Define, tune, and verify control laws across the airframe family, from inner rate and attitude loops to outer position loops.
• Own interfaces with aerodynamic modeling, ego state, autopilot, product, and systems teams.
• Plan flight verification campaigns with the flight-test team and analyze flight logs to challenge diagnoses.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in aerospace, controls, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience shipping guidance or control software on real multirotor or fixed-wing vehicles.
• Experience building or leading an engineering team, hiring and developing engineers, and owning a module or program against a hard deadline.
• Strong ability to review technical designs and interpret flight logs.
• Fluent English required; French is a plus.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lausanne, Paris, or Zurich.
