Cloud Network Engineer

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and operate cloud networking infrastructure across one or more major cloud providers.
• Build VPC/VNet architectures, hybrid connectivity, transit topologies, edge networking, and DNS solutions.
• Implement cloud security controls and reliable networking patterns for production environments at scale.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into solutions with product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
• Contribute to code reviews and design reviews while mentoring more junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex networking issues using packet-level analysis and strong engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of professional experience, including significant experience in cloud networking.
• Hands-on networking experience with at least one major cloud provider.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, BGP, hybrid connectivity, cloud security, and network controls.
• Experience with infrastructure as code for cloud networking, especially Terraform, plus familiarity with Kubernetes networking and service mesh fundamentals.
• Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, or H-1B transfer candidates; new H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored.

Nice to have

• Cloud networking specialty certifications such as AWS Advanced Networking or Azure Network Engineer.
• Experience with multi-cloud networking and cloud-to-cloud connectivity.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN, SASE architectures, or eBPF-based networking tools.
• Experience with regulated industries and strict network segmentation requirements.
