DevOps Engineer (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid in San Antonio, Texas, with an average of 1–2 days per week in the office; U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance are required.

Salary: $100,173–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Support development and deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure, especially EKS, as well as on-premise and portable edge infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes and manage Kubernetes containers and AWS infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications into the infrastructure.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production system issues.
• Improve infrastructure tools and processes to maintain high availability, performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Active Secret U.S. Government Security Clearance and U.S. Citizenship required.
• 5+ years of DevOps Engineering or Software Development experience with a relevant bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent education and experience combination.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS services including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, and Lambda, and infrastructure deployment and management.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, application and OS deployment, scaling, and management.
• Programming experience with Python, Bash, or Go; familiarity with Git, Flux, terminal-based environments, and Linux system administration.
• DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certification such as Security+, or willingness to obtain it within 60 days of hire.

Nice to have

• TS/SCI-level clearance.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Hive, Drill, Impala, Trino, or Presto.
• Experience with K9s, AWS CLI, SNS, SQS, or Diode.
