Business Systems Analyst Sr (Database/API)

Location: In-office role based in Farmers Branch, Texas, with additional listed locations in Pittsburgh, Dallas, Birmingham, Cleveland, Phoenix, and Denver

Salary: $51,750–$108,445 annually, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Gather and analyze business requirements and production specifications for technology application changes.
• Define system scope and objectives based on user needs and business processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements and clear API specifications.
• Document system constraints, implications, data mappings, and consequences of proposed changes.
• Lead business process improvement projects and recommend solutions to business issues.
• Partner with engineering, QA, and stakeholders on API integrations, data validation, and manual testing.

Requirements

• Business Systems Analyst experience with the ability to lead complex projects.
• Knowledge of business process analysis, data modeling, process mapping, gap analysis, and requirements gathering.
• Hands-on API integration experience, including request and response structures, parameters, POST operations, and error responses.
• Knowledge of UI, API, and database components and how they interrelate; experience with SQL and MySQL.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum, user stories, backlog management, Jira, Jenkins, and Bitbucket.
