Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Lead the capture, analysis, documentation, validation, and change control of business, functional, technical, and cross-functional requirements.
• Manage epics, sub-epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlogs, requirements, tests, defects, and traceability in JIRA and other ALM processes.
• Conduct user interviews, facilitate requirements and backlog refinement sessions, and create process models and formal project specifications.
• Coordinate with customers, product and business owners, systems engineers, development teams, stakeholders, and contractors.
• Track project risks, issues, execution metrics, dependencies, impediments, and product backlogs across the Agile lifecycle using SAFe.
• Act as a product functional subject matter expert and lead or mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience; a Master’s degree in Engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Strong background in software development and Agile or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, research, problem-solving, customer service, oral, and written communication skills.
• Experience with large Agile software development or data integration projects.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in an Agile environment and knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program.
• VA SQA testing experience.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with a federal health agency and healthcare billing or claims processing applications.
