What you will do

• Execute, assess, test, validate, and monitor administrative, technical, operational, and detective security controls.
• Develop and maintain control procedures, standards, documentation, audit evidence, and remediation tracking.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory compliance activities.
• Develop security control metrics, dashboards, reports, and repeatable performance indicators.
• Partner with data and reporting teams to automate evidence collection and control monitoring.
• Advise technology, operational technology, compliance, audit, and business stakeholders on risk mitigation and security requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, risk management, business, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Relevant experience in cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, audit, or security controls management.
• Experience performing security assessments, risk analysis, or control testing.
• Experience supporting regulatory compliance or audit programs and working with cross-functional technology and business teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Role levels range from Security Specialist to Security Specialist Lead, with work experience requirements ranging from none beyond qualifying education to 7+ years of IT or 5+ years of security experience.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GRC principles, security control frameworks, assessment methodologies, risk remediation, audit readiness, and evidence management.
• Knowledge of NERC CIP, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, or similar frameworks.
• Experience with process improvement, automation, security reporting, stakeholder relationship management, and technical or business presentations.
