Senior Cybersecurity Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret security clearance are required.

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Lead systems engineering activities for PKMA modernization and integration into ESS.
• Develop and review technical requirements, Statements of Work, interface documentation, acquisition packages, and engineering baselines.
• Coordinate cryptographic key management requirements across ground, terminal, payload, and space-segment stakeholders.
• Support COMSEC/TRANSEC planning, testing, certification, integration, and deployment activities.
• Analyze vendor and contractor inputs, develop technical roadmaps and risk mitigation plans, and provide recommendations to government and program leadership.
• Coordinate with NSA, Space Systems Command, mission partners, contractors, and system developers while preparing briefings and decision-support materials.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or national-security space programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with cryptographic systems, key management infrastructure, COMSEC, or TRANSEC operations.
• Experience developing technical requirements, Statements of Work, acquisition packages, engineering documentation, and large-scale system integrations.
• Strong technical writing and briefing skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with SATCOM, AEHF, ESS, EHF, PKI, KMI, PKMA, or enterprise key-management architectures.
• Experience with NSA-certified cryptographic systems, acquisition strategy, source selection, or contract execution.
• Familiarity with MBSE/CAMEO, DOORS, Jira, or related engineering toolsets.
• INCOSE CSEP/ESEP, CISSP, or CEH certification.
