Environmental Manager - Nuclear Development

Location: Onsite at AEP headquarters in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, United States. Travel is estimated at 10–25% of regular time.

Salary: $136,539–$177,503 per year, plus annual bonus and long-term incentive.

What you will do

• Manage and coordinate environmental permitting, program compliance, management systems, and related activities supporting business units.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership while serving as the focal point for assigned environmental activities.
• Coordinate with internal groups, consultants, government agencies, industry organizations, and NGOs.
• Develop and implement standard processes and continuous improvements for the environmental group.
• Monitor compliance with policies, standards, and processes, and support environmental regulation and research initiatives.
• Lead staff performance management, coaching, development, and resource planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an environmental discipline or environmental management systems, or an associate degree/high school diploma plus two years of relevant experience.
• At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in environmental management systems, studies, permitting, or compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and high potential.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work at the headquarters in Downtown Columbus, Ohio.
