What you will do

• Plan and conduct medium-to-large safety and health projects and programs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate employee safety programs with management.
• Identify hazards, investigate accidents, conduct ergonomic assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide technical consulting on federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Lead safety and health audits and advise business unit management on accident elimination and compliance programs.
• Develop safety training content and deliver new-hire and annual OSHA-required training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Recognized safety certification required.
• Five years of professional experience in the safety field.
• Experience interpreting and applying federal, state, and local safety and health regulations.
• Ability to support management, employees, and contractors with safety compliance and investigations.
• Certified Safety Professional designation is preferred.
