Network Construction Manager (Telecommunications)

Location: Remote in New Jersey, serving New Jersey and parts of Maryland; some regional travel, on-site surveys, field meetings, and visits to customer and construction sites are required.

Salary: $68,100–$104,700 USD annually.

What you will do

• Manage telecommunications construction vendors, including outside plant construction and fiber splicing.
• Coordinate permitting, right-of-way relationships, encroachment permits, franchise agreements, and building access agreements.
• Plan and implement commercial and carrier fiber networks, infrastructure, backbone, and lateral builds.
• Lead customer installation projects in data center environments and coordinate internal and external resources.
• Track project budgets, bids, purchase orders, documentation, schedules, and closeout activities in Salesforce and manual trackers.
• Serve as the primary interface for customers, subcontractors, municipalities, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least seven years of telecommunications experience involving outside plant, fiber optics, optical transport equipment, and project management.
• At least four years of experience with outside plant construction and management of large capital projects.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling, routing, switching, IP protocols, and telecommunications architectures.
• Ability to manage multiple aggressive RFP, design, and construction schedules and interpret construction documents.
• Experience with Excel, Word, Google Earth, AutoCAD, and Salesforce-based project tracking.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to assigned projects, perform on-site surveys, attend field meetings, and work on call when assigned.
