Field Service Engineer II (Digital Pathology)

Location: New York, New York, United States; remote-based role covering the Northeast region with 90% overnight travel within and outside the territory.

Salary: $45.00–$50.00 per hour, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Provide advanced remote and on-site escalation support for digital pathology equipment across the North American Selling Unit.
• Respond to repairs, installations, preventative maintenance, and other service calls to minimize customer downtime.
• Communicate technical trends, correct parts issues, and identify potential revenue opportunities.
• Share technical memos, service bulletins, upcoming changes, and best practices through recurring Service Excellence calls.
• Collaborate with product management and business unit teams to maintain instrument quality reporting.
• Identify declining quality trends and develop potential countermeasures.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree plus 3+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotic, electronic, or instrumentation equipment, or equivalent military experience.
• Bachelor’s degree and IT networking experience are preferred.
• Ability to travel 90%, including overnight travel within and outside the assigned territory.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to understand complex system operation and troubleshooting.

Nice to have

• Field service experience with medical devices, electromechanical equipment, or scientific instruments.
• Field service engineering and/or networking and IT systems experience.
