Logistics Process Engineer (SQL/Power BI)

Location: Onsite in Cleveland, North Carolina, United States. The position is open to applicants who can work in or relocate to Cleveland, NC, US; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $86,000–$110,000 USD annually, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot plant logistics systems and material retrieval equipment, including warehouse management, shuttle, retrieval, Dematic, EMS, and EDI systems.
• Investigate system issues, identify root causes, create alerts, and coordinate corrective actions with corporate support teams.
• Integrate new materials and processes into logistics systems and improve packaging, Kanban, repack, kitting, sequencing, stocking, and line-delivery processes.
• Optimize material flow, storage, kitting, workstation, and warehouse layouts.
• Lead logistics improvement projects involving automation, digital solutions, equipment, and third-party providers while coordinating implementation with engineering, operations, IT, maintenance, facilities, and contractors.
• Perform time studies, capacity and manpower analysis, and develop KPI dashboards and data analysis tools for operational decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, preferably Materials Engineering or a related engineering field.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, or logistics.
• Experience with materials flow, process development, warehouse management software, and basic mechanical, electrical, industrial, and software engineering principles.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and material flow principles.
• Proficiency with SQL and Power BI for data analysis, KPI monitoring, and dashboard development.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States at the time of application.

Nice to have

• Project management experience.
• Knowledge of Manhattan Warehouse Management System, Dematic, pick-to-light, and other logistics flow systems.
• Experience with automated storage and retrieval systems or materials warehouse process qualification in a production manufacturing environment.
