Sr. Engineer, Distribution & OPEX

Location: On-site at the US Distribution Center in Torrance, California, United States

Salary: $99,500–$137,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Identify and resolve operational flow gaps across receiving, inventory, picking, packing, shipping, and manufacturing.
• Apply Lean and hirify.global Business System principles to increase throughput, reduce lead times, improve quality, and stabilize execution.
• Improve carrier performance, routing strategies, Incoterms alignment, trade compliance coordination, and freight cost management.
• Optimize inventory management, slotting, warehouse layout, FIFO adherence, location strategy, and space utilization.
• Lead cross-functional improvement initiatives by defining problems, coordinating action plans, implementing solutions, and measuring results.
• Analyze distribution and logistics data with Power BI, D365, and Excel to produce actionable operational reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in distribution, logistics, warehouse, or manufacturing operations.
• Experience executing operational improvement initiatives using Lean, DBS, PSP, Kaizen, value stream mapping, or similar methodologies.
• Working knowledge of carrier management, Incoterms, freight cost management, regulated environments, and cross-functional operational requirements.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI, with the ability to analyze unstructured data and drive corrective action.
• Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 50 lbs and work on a warehouse or manufacturing floor for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Experience with D365, AESDirect, XCarrier, or other ERP and distribution systems.
• Experience with slotting, FIFO, location management, inventory control, and space optimization.
• Lean or supply chain certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD, or formal Lean training.
