Network Construction Manager - PA/MD (Fiber Networks)

Location: Reading, Pennsylvania; serving Pennsylvania and parts of Maryland with travel to client and construction sites required

What you will do

• Manage construction vendors and oversee the construction and splicing of outside-plant fiber facilities.
• Plan and implement commercial and carrier fiber networks, infrastructure, backbone, and lateral builds.
• Coordinate permitting, rights-of-way, building access agreements, municipalities, railroads, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Own customer connectivity projects from order management through installation, communication, and project closeout.
• Create and track project budgets, bids, purchase orders, service orders, schedules, and documentation in Salesforce and manual trackers.
• Conduct site surveys, attend field meetings, support data-center installations, and ensure delivery remains on time and within budget.

Requirements

• At least seven years of telecommunications industry experience, including outside plant, fiber optics, optical transport equipment, and project management.
• At least four years of experience with outside-plant construction and large capital projects.
• Working knowledge of structured cabling, routing, switching, IP protocols, and telecommunications architectures.
• Ability to manage multiple RFPs and aggressive design and construction schedules and read construction documents.
• Experience with email, Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Earth, and AutoCAD; proven negotiation and commercial skills.
• Valid driver’s license, willingness to travel and perform field work, attend in-person meetings, and take assigned on-call duty.
