Quality Supervisor (Automotive)

Location: Tooele, Utah, United States; onsite. Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States. Relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $95,000–$121,000 USD starting range, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Lead plant-level quality systems and maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Supervise and develop quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians while setting daily priorities and allocating resources.
• Oversee manufacturing quality processes, including SPC, inspection strategies, quality gates, and internal and external audits.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, A3, DMAIC, and related methods.
• Reduce defects, warranty claims, and Cost of Poor Quality while improving First Pass Yield and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams on quality concerns, field failures, continuous improvement, and Lean/Six Sigma initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing quality experience and at least 2 years of team lead, project leadership, or supervisory experience.
• Experience in automotive or heavy-duty manufacturing quality.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Lean and continuous improvement principles, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and quality data analysis.
• Permanent legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship and existing visa holders are not accepted.

Nice to have

• Heavy-duty truck or powertrain development or manufacturing experience.
• Strong shop-floor leadership experience.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with Power BI, SPC software, warranty systems, field failure analysis, OEM requirements, or APQP.
