What you will do

  • Schedule complex oncology appointments across disciplines according to established guidelines.
  • Monitor scheduling reports to maintain accuracy and optimize resource utilization.
  • Coordinate check-in and check-out activities, triage calls, verify patient identities, process paperwork, and enter verbal orders.
  • Communicate with patients, families, providers, leadership, and cross-functional teams while explaining complex information in patient-friendly terms.
  • Respond to patient grievances, recognize emergencies, and follow applicable procedures.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality, support quality improvement initiatives, and troubleshoot patient-use iPads.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with technology and complex computer systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, multitasking, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and work effectively in a busy, changing clinic environment.
  • Experience in a customer service setting preferred.
  • Ability to work onsite in Boston 2–3 days per week and provide in-person, telephone, written, and email patient contact.
