Product Owner - Daimler Truck Experience (Automotive)

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States. Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in-office and 1 day remote. Applicants may work in or relocate to Portland; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $95,000–$121,000 USD per year, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Translate product requirements, epics, and business rules into clear, sprint-ready user stories.
• Define acceptance criteria and the definition of done, and maintain an ordered, groomed backlog.
• Run backlog refinement and provide sprint-planning inputs, including scope sequencing and tradeoffs.
• Partner with developers, product managers, UX/UI, program teams, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve dependencies.
• Coordinate release readiness, regression activities, UAT test cases, defect tracking, and story-level quality checks.
• Communicate status, risks, blockers, and delivery progress across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in product management, business, information systems, computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• 1–3 years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, QA, associate product management, or a similar delivery-focused role.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum fundamentals, backlogs, sprints, user stories, acceptance criteria, and Scrum ceremonies.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital products, customer-facing platforms, or complex enterprise applications.
• Familiarity with UAT planning, defect tracking, APIs, integrations, and modern web applications.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and their impact on customer and internal user experiences.
