Senior Autonomy Engineer (Product Owner)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Required travel up to 10% domestically and internationally. No relocation assistance is offered.

Salary: $112,710–$183,140 annually.

What you will do

• Own and maintain the Agile delivery team backlog, keeping features and stories prioritized, clear, traceable, and ready for implementation.
• Lead backlog refinement and support sprint planning, execution, reviews, and continuous delivery.
• Translate strategy and stakeholder intent into well-defined features, stories, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and constraints.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, peer teams, Scrum Masters, product and program leadership, engineers, QA, and designers.
• Accept completed stories against agreed acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done, ensuring validation evidence is captured.
• Maintain delivery visibility through accurate sprint-level planning and work-item tracking in tools such as Azure DevOps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, software, or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of industry trends, regulatory considerations, problem-solving methods, and technical troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, application development tools, software product testing, and programming.
• Knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, technologies, and methodologies, with the ability to apply AI products and services in an industry domain.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• Fluency in English and French, written and spoken, is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience managing and optimizing product backlogs, including prioritization by business value, work slicing, and definition of ready.
• Experience with Agile ceremonies, Azure DevOps work-item management, and cross-team dependency coordination.
• Experience in mining operations or familiarity with the Cat MineStar product suite.
