Product Owner (Insurance)

What you will do

• Lead the transition to one shared Agency Management System.
• Own, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog while keeping it visible and understood by the Scrum squad.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable requirements for development.
• Represent customer and stakeholder needs, make timely product decisions, and collaborate with business and technology teams.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, clarify features, remove blockers, and inspect sprint deliverables.
• Track sprint-level KPIs to evaluate delivery health, progress, and value realization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in customer service, technical support, application support, or insurance.
• Experience with product management or business analysis.
• Understanding of Agile principles and the Scrum framework.
• Strong communication, prioritization, decision-making, customer focus, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps, or similar tools; CSPO, PMI-ACP, PSPO, or an appropriate certification is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with transition, migration, or transformation to an Agency Management System.
• Intermediate knowledge of CRM software such as Dynamics or Salesforce.
• Intermediate knowledge of ITIL, Agile, Scrum, and the insurance industry.
• Experience supporting business applications in a production environment.
