Vice President, Commercial Banker

Location: La Mesa, California, United States; may require up to 50% travel

Salary: $130,400–$161,083 per year for new hires in La Mesa, CA, plus potential annual bonus, incentives, and restricted stock

What you will do

• Identify target markets and develop a new commercial banking book of business through customer calls, visits, and relationship building.
• Underwrite, negotiate, and coordinate the closing and servicing of major and complex commercial loans.
• Develop business checking, deposit, treasury, and other banking product relationships and recommend solutions based on client needs.
• Analyze market conditions, customer financial information, financing risks, and industry trends to support credit decisions.
• Prepare financing requests for senior management or the Loan Committee and coordinate approved loan processing in accordance with bank policies.
• Represent the bank in community and civic activities and help strengthen its market position.

Requirements

• 6+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial banking products, deposit operations, loan administration, and treasury management.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of regulatory and legal compliance requirements, industry standards, and banking practices.
• Advanced relationship management, organizational, time management, speaking, and writing skills.
