Process Engineer Intern (Summer 2027) (Life Sciences and Food & Beverage)

Location: St. Louis, Missouri, USA; willingness to relocate or work in one of hirify.global’s U.S. internship locations is required, including Kansas City, Raleigh, Orange County, Philadelphia, Boston, San Diego, Kalamazoo, Denver, and Rockville.

What you will do

• Work under the direction of a Process Engineer mentor to develop and implement project deliverables.
• Support pharmaceutical, biotech, food and beverage, and industrial projects, including renovations, retrofits, and new construction.
• Contribute to the design and engineering of manufacturing facilities and equipment.
• Support facility infrastructure and critical utility systems.
• Document process design scope and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, vendors, clients, and contractors.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, or Biochemical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Available to work full-time from May through August 2027.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
• Strong interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industries.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to relocate or work in one of the listed hirify.global internship locations.

Nice to have

• Progress toward registration for or completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, or Assemble.
• Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, AEC regulations and standards, or a Process Engineering internship or co-op.
