What you will do

• Support design improvements and engineering changes for released plasma and waterjet cutting systems.
• Evaluate alternate mechanical components to address obsolescence, availability, supply chain, and cost challenges.
• Participate in product testing, data analysis, and validation to verify performance and functional requirements.
• Investigate product, manufacturing, and field-related issues using structured problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, procurement, quality, regulatory, reliability, and supply chain functions.
• Create engineering documentation, support change management, and contribute to new product development initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Junior or senior standing with at least two years of completed coursework.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Familiarity with engineering drawings and drafting practices.
• Exposure to product design, manufacturing, testing, or engineering projects through coursework, internships, clubs, or personal projects.
• Interest in industrial equipment, product development, and manufacturing environments.
