Manager, Financial Reporting, General Insurance Controllership (Insurance)

Location: New York, United States; primarily office-based

Salary: $99,000–$123,000 base salary in New York; $97,000–$120,000 in New Jersey, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Coordinate timely and accurate General Insurance International financial reporting results and disclosures for quarterly and annual reporting.
• Collaborate with regional finance teams and functional stakeholders to resolve reporting issues and maintain alignment.
• Lead initiatives to improve balance sheet integrity, transparency, and reconciliation quality.
• Strengthen financial statement stewardship and governance across local statutory and IFRS reporting bases.
• Review reporting frameworks, improve controls, and streamline reporting processes and timelines.
• Partner with Finance Transformation teams to implement enhanced reporting solutions across Controllership.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting, or controllership at a public company.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong Excel, problem-solving, project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across regional and functional teams and adapt to change.
• Ability to work primarily in the New York office.

Nice to have

• Big Four accounting experience.
• CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Insurance industry experience.
• SAP and Power BI experience.
