Interim Controller

Location: In-office in Huntington Beach, California, USA

Salary: USD 100,000–140,000 yearly

hirify.global is a privately owned holding company operating a marketing and advertising agency, a youth sports business, and a ready-to-drink cocktail company.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain separate company books in QuickBooks.
• Lead the monthly close for AIM and South Norte, including close schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and subledger controls.
• Oversee vendor payments, employee benefit entries, intercompany transactions, bank reconciliations, cash handling, and deposits.
• Manage revenue recognition, cash flow forecasts, annual budget uploads, payroll processing through Paylocity, insurance policies, banking relationships, fixed assets, and leasehold improvements.
• Ensure quarterly sales and use tax returns, year-end 1099 processing, and the 401(k) annual audit are completed properly.
• Provide financial schedules to auditors and tax preparers while supervising the AIM Accounting Manager and South Norte Finance Manager.

Requirements

• Five or more years of accounting experience across various industries.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to analyze business operations and provide recommendations.
• Experience developing procedures and training staff to follow them.
• Experience managing and mentoring staff.

• Experience in a project accounting environment.
