Business Systems Analysis, Senior Specialist

What you will do

• Analyze operational performance, assess business impact, recommend solutions, and lead their implementation.
• Assess business processes, create process maps and flow diagrams, and monitor project deliverables.
• Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications and evaluate system capabilities.
• Develop reports and dashboards to support operational analytics and data-driven decisions.
• Support system implementations through user acceptance, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and complex issue resolution.
• Automate code-release handoffs from development to operations and participate in the incident management on-call rotation approximately every four to six weeks.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in information technology development.
• Experience with business systems, system integrations, software enhancements, requirements gathering, testing, implementation, production support, and issue resolution.
• Experience analyzing, validating, and reporting operational and project data for performance measurement, risk identification, and process improvement.
• Ability to develop business processes, workflows, operating procedures, system documentation, and decision records.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, and project or workstream leadership skills.
• Must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted; the position requires reporting to an SCE facility for a set number of days.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience with Demand Response programs, distributed energy resources, CAISO wholesale market operations, or utility and regulatory environments.
• Experience with vendors, contracts, service-level monitoring, budgets, purchase orders, invoices, internal controls, audits, and compliance.
