Senior Functional Analyst

Location: 100% remote within the United States; candidates from California, Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington will not be considered.

Salary: $78,167–$103,855 per year

What you will do

• Capture, analyze, validate, and manage business, functional, technical, and non-technical requirements.
• Conduct user interviews and facilitate sessions to develop process models, formal specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
• Use JIRA as an Application Lifecycle Management tool for requirements, testing, defect management, traceability, epics, and user stories.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, support Scrum sprint teams, and help remove impediments.
• Coordinate with systems engineers, customers, product owners, stakeholders, and contractors to assess impacts and clarify requirements.
• Manage change control, configuration management, risks, issues, project documentation, backlogs, and Agile execution metrics using SAFe.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
• 10 years of professional experience; a master’s degree in engineering or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
• Strong background in software development and Agile or Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
• Expertise with JIRA and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, customer service, and research skills, with experience on large Agile software development or data integration projects.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of the VA Veterans Independence Program, VA SQA testing, or healthcare billing and claims processing applications.
• Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with a federal health agency such as VA, DHA, or HHS.
