AP Technician (Accounts Payable)

What you will do

• Receive, review, process, and verify invoices and accounts payable correspondence.
• Match invoices to purchase orders using three-way matching and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare accounts payable checks and reconcile monthly vendor statements, including credits, freight charges, and tax issues.
• Administer the corporate credit card program, including card issuance, limit changes, terminations, transaction posting, reporting, and policy compliance escalation.
• Review employee and mileage reimbursements, process accounts payable module transactions, and submit reports to payroll.
• Support monthly and annual close deadlines, special projects, cross-training, and accounts payable inquiries.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with 6 months to 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets is preferred.
• Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily and maintain strong customer service.
• A valid driver's license may be required.
• Regular onsite work in Sacramento, California is associated with this role.
